Accommodations
Special rates for conference participants have been arranged at two
hotels in Waikiki, which are ~4-5 km from the meeting site. You can
create your own maps of the area at
Yahoo's mapping service. To ensure availability, early reservations
are strongly recommended.
Ohana Maile Sky Court Hotel 2058 Kuhio Ave Single and double rooms with kitchenettes are both $55 per night plus 11.4% taxes. This rate is available for three days before and after the meeting. Maximum occupancy is two people but children 17 and under are free when sharing a room with their parents using existing bedding. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the beach. Parking is $9 per day. For reservations call the Group Reservation phone at 1-800-325-7171 and ask for the Georaman 2004 rate. Alternatively, fill out the reservation form (download the Word file or rich-text format file now) and fax it to1-800-663-5779 or email it to group.sales@outrigger.com. Since these are special group rates, one cannot make reservations online at the hotel website. Deadline for reservations: May 7, 2004. Reservations must be guaranteed by the individual’s credit card or a one-night’s accommodation deposit. Room deposits will be refunded if cancellation notice provided by the individual is no later than 72 hours prior to arrival. A cancellation notice received within 72 hours of scheduled arrival will be charged a penalty of one night’s room revenue, plus applicable taxes. Radisson Waikiki Prince Kuhio 2500 Kuhio Ave Single and double rooms with a mountain view are $112 per night plus 11.4% taxes. Ocean view single or double rooms are $125 per night plus 11.4% taxes. Add $25 (or $30 for the ocean view rooms) plus tax for a third person. Children 17 years and under are free when sharing with parents and utilizing existing bedding. These rates are available for three days before and after the meeting. Self-parking is currently $9 per day; valet parking is $12 per day. The hotel is one block from the beach. Student Accommodations The East-West Center, where the meeting will take place, has facilities for housing international graduate students and research staff year round. A limited number of rooms are available for conference housing and therefore it is important to make reservations as early as possible. Students can reserve a room by providing their names, arrival and departure dates to the GEORAMAN 2004 Secretariat or to Shiv Sharma. Conference RatesHale Manoa and Hale Kuahine (dormitory rooms with shared bathroom facilities) Telephone service, bedding and linen are provided in all rooms. Room cleaning services, towels and soap are not provided. Towel packets are available at the front desk for a nominal cost. Double rooms are furnished with 2 single beds.

Check-ins & -outs are handled at the respective residence hall desks. Hale Manoa is open 24 hours.
Students will be required to pay for their full room charges upon check-in. Mastercard, Visa, traveler's checks and personal checks (US dollars) are accepted.
